Local buses travel the main routes regularly. Average cost per journey EC$ 5.00. No bus service on Sundays or at night. Taxis are available average cost 10 - 30 US$. Car hire can be arranged through Sanvics prior to your arrival should you wish. You will need to be over 25 years and bring with you a full driving licence. You will be required to obtain a Grenadian license, cost EC$ 60.00. Car hire is approximately US$ 65.00 per day.

St. George's is the nearest hospital for emergencies. Dentists, Doctors and chemists are readily available.

The three Islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique form an independent nation within the British Commonwealth. Grenada comprises 133 sq. miles of lush tropical rain forest, fertile valleys and white sandy beaches. Please take a look at the slide show on the right.

Year round average temperature of 28 - 30°C (83 - 90°F). The dry season is between December and May and the rainy season from June to mid December. During the rainy season the showers can be heavy but are normally sporadic.

Eastern Caribbean Dollar (exchange rate approximately 4 to £1.00 or 2.7 to the U.S. Dollar. The latter can also be used in most shops and restaurants where change will be given in E.C. Dollars.
